My Coffee Porto began in 2019 in a tiny café above the Douro, where specialty coffee came with one of Porto's most memorable views. What started on the Escadas do Codeçal has grown into four welcoming cafés across the historic centre — keeping the same focus on carefully prepared coffee, simple fresh food and personal service.

The Beginning
Founder Saiful Islam opened the first My Coffee Porto on the Escadas do Codeçal, on the steps above the Douro — a tiny café with a big view and a mission to bring specialty coffee into the heart of Porto.
A Home Beside the Cathedral
A cosy, quiet café opened near Porto Cathedral, bringing coffee, brunch and fresh vegetarian choices to the historic centre.
Coffee Beside the Market
Steps from the Mercado do Bolhão, this café became a favourite for early breakfasts, laptop mornings and coffee workshops.
Santa Catarina
Our newest café opened on Rua de Santa Catarina, Porto's busy shopping street — the fourth corner of the My Coffee Porto family.

Founder, My Coffee Porto
Saiful Islam opened the first My Coffee Porto in 2019, on the Escadas do Codeçal — a handful of tables on a historic stairway above the Douro, chosen for a view most cafés in the city cannot offer. The idea was simple and has not changed: specialty coffee served without ceremony, alongside food people actually want to eat for breakfast.
From that one café the business has grown to four locations across central Porto, and to roasting its own coffee in-house on a Joper drum roaster rather than buying it in. Saiful still works across the cafés, and the roast profiles served in all four are developed and signed off in-house.
