Shipping and Returns

Last updated

This page explains how our shop currently works and where you stand on returns.

How to buy right now

Our shop pages are a catalogue: they show what we stock, what it costs and what is in it. There is no online checkout on this site yet, so purchases are made in person at any of our four cafés, or by contacting us to arrange an order and delivery.

For wholesale and larger orders, get in touch and we will confirm price, quantity, lead time and delivery before anything is dispatched.

Freshness and dispatch

Coffee is roasted in small batches in Porto and rested before it leaves us, so an order may be prepared to the next roast rather than shipped from stock. We will tell you the expected date when we confirm your order. Beans are supplied whole unless you ask us to grind them for a specific brew method.

Returns and refunds

If something arrives damaged, incorrect or not as described, contact us within 14 days of receiving it and we will replace it or refund you in full, including the return cost. Equipment and merchandise can be returned unused and in their original packaging within 14 days.

Coffee is a perishable food product. Once a bag has been opened we cannot resell it, so we can only accept returns of unopened bags — but if you are unhappy with a coffee, tell us anyway. We would rather hear about it and put it right.

Where you buy as a consumer at a distance, these terms do not affect your statutory rights under Portuguese and EU consumer law.
